Southborough – Jeanne M. (St.Michel) Vanni, 48, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a long battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Scott P. Vanni for the past 14 years.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of Rita L. (Mauro) St. Michel, who died in 1988, and Ronald E. St. Michel and his wife Arlene of Sun City, Fla. She was a 1982 graduate of Marlborough High School and graduated from Newbury Jr. College in Boston with a degree in Canine Sciences.

Mrs. Vanni worked as a groomer for Paws Company of Hudson and eventually become the owner. She was a member of St. Matthew Church of Southborough and enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking. Her eggplant casserole was second to none! She was a wonderful mother, wife, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Nicholas and Jason Vanni of Southborough; two sisters, Karen La Croix and her husband Stephen of Charlton and Lynn Bolton and her husband Jim of Pennsylvania; her mother-in-law Alma L.Vanni of Southborough; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Pojani and her husband Michael of Southborough and Cynthia O”Neill and her husband John of Rhode Island; a brother-in-law, William Vanni of Southborough; and many aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, from 2 to 6 p.m., at Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthew Church, Highland Street in Southborough. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
