Carole A. Izbicki, 79Hudson – Carole A. (McMahon) Izbicki, 79, died peacefully Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 41 years to John J. Izbicki Sr., who died in 1994.

Born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Timothy and Viola (Gibree) McMahon, she attended local schools and was a 1950 graduate of the High School of Commerce in Worcester. She moved to Hudson in 1963, where she and her husband, John, raised their family.

Mrs. Izbicki was employed as an office manager for 11 years by Apple Computer Co. in Marlborough until her retirement in 1991. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed her children's many school activities and functions, and was an active member of the PTA. She was proud of her service as an Election Registrar for many years in the Hudson community and also volunteered with the annual gathering of information with the local census. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother in Hudson and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.

She has spent the last two years as a resident of the Willows in Westborough, enjoying the many activities with her new friends. She enjoyed the many moments she spent online with her online community of Senior Friends, a nation-wide group. She was a very loving and caring individual who devoted her time to not only her family and friends, but took great pride in the care of her loving pets she adopted from Buddy Dog.

She is survived by her children, Robin Errede and her husband, Al, of Shrewsbury; Karen Troy and her husband, Bill, of Acton; John J. Izbicki Jr. of Marlborough; Chris Izbicki and his wife, Patty, of Hudson; and Lisa Gowaski and her husband, Damian, of Marlborough. She is also survived by her brother, Jack McMahon of Florida; her sister-in-law, Maryann McMahon of Florida; her six grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored, Alissa and Michaela Errede, Jaclyn and Mark Izbicki, Kevin Troy, Samantha Izbicki; and her nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Timothy C. “Butch” McMahon.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial services will be held at a later date in Forestvale Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson.
