Applications available for Shrewsbury High School Alumni Association scholarships

Shrewsbury – Applications are now available for three scholarships sponsored by the Shrewsbury High School (SHS) Alumni Association. All current members of the SHS senior class who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply.

The SHS Alumni Association Scholarship recognizes a high school senior who has made positive contributions to SHS through good citizenship and participation in extracurricular life. The Robert Defino-Class of 1955 Scholarship was established to recognize a student who has achieved success in high school through hard work and involvement in the school community. The Kitty Viscardi Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who has been an active member of the SHS Speech & Debate Team. Applications are due in early March.

For further information, applications and photos of past recipients, visit the alumni association's website at www.shrewsburyalumni.org. Winners will be notified by mail in mid-April, and scholarships will be presented at the association's own annual Scholarship Awards Night Wednesday, April 25.
