Marlborough – Karen M. (Brodeur) St. Croix, 58, died suddenly at home Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 after being stricken ill.

She leaves her children, Kristie L. LaRose and her life partner Judy Fitzgerald of Highlands Ranch, Co. and Justin R. LaRose and his wife Kristin of Long Beach, Cal. She also leaves two sisters, her twin Kathleen A. Connors of Marlborough and Eugenia M. Carbone and her husband Paul of Nashua, N.H.; a brother, Robert J. Brodeur Jr. of Marlborough; and many nieces and nephews.

Born in Hudson, daughter of the late Robert J. and Dorothy N. (Milieck) Brodeur, she had lived in Marlborough all of her life. She was a 1971 graduate of Marlborough High School and also graduated from Stonehill College.

Mrs. St. Croix was a waitress for many years at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury and at the former White's Corner in Southborough. She worked as a food service director for several years at the Hillhaven Nursing Home in Westborough.

She was a free-spirited being devoted to doing good for everyone who crossed her path in life.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the John P. Rowe Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Marlborough. Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Buddy Dog Humane Society, 151 Boston Post Rd., Sudbury, MA 01776 or to the Marlborough Boys and Girls Club, 169 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
