Kathleen Terrill, 52

Northborough - Kathleen Terrill, 52, of Sunapee, N.H. and Northborough, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a long battle with cancer. An avid runner and lifelong non-smoker, she had non-small-cell lung cancer. She fought until the end, and passed peacefully surrounded by loving family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Terrill, M.D.; her son, James; her daughter, Margaret “Meg”; her mother, Brenda Williamson; and her siblings, Desiree, Jennifer, Dott, Helen, Joan, Ron Jr., and Paul. She was predeceased by her father, Ronald Williamson.

Born in Rochester, N.H., she grew up in Essex Junction, Vt., and graduated from Bowdoin College with honors as a double major in Economics and Math.

Mrs. Terrill worked as a property and casualty actuary in San Antonio, Worcester, Boston, and Chicago. She became a fellow of the Casualty Actuary Society in five years and was a company officer at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She managed her husband’s office the last 10 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her flowers, friends, and family. Sunapee, N.H. had been her heaven for the past 20 years and where she will be spending eternity.

A memorial service will be held May 19, at 10 a.m., at the Beechwood Hotel, 363 Plantation St., Worcester, and a separate memorial service will be held June 2, at 12 p.m., at the Lake Sunapee Yacht Club, 34 Stone End Rd., Sunapee, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Terrill’s name to the Upper Valley Humane Society of New Hampshire (www.uvhs.org) or the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (www.dana-farber.org.
