Marlborough – Firefighters from Marlborough and a number of other communities are still on the scene of a six-alarm blaze at the Lake Williams Condominiums on West Main Street (Route 20). No injuries have been reported at this time.

Firefighters were attempting to quell the flames, which started at approximately 9:30 a.m. on the upper floor of the four-story building, with several ladder trucks. Dozens of responders from adjacent communities were on the scene as well as representatives from the State Fire Marshall's office, the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency and the American Red Cross.

Officials have blocked off Route 20 east and westbound, as well as the road between Broad Street and Route 495.

Further information will be passed along as soon as it becomes available. (Photos/Bonnie Adams)

  1. This happened two years ago. I wonder if there was any casualty or if the families affected by this unfortunate event was able to re-establish their lives now. I am actually putting money on a recent condominium development in Singapore branded as 70 St. Patrick’s (http://www.propertyforsalerental.com/70-st-patricks/) and I definitely don’t want this to happen in the future for this investment.

  2. Firefighters are surely a brave men! It is important that a condo is near the firestation for safety purposes. Or if not, they an easy access to fire station. This is one of the thing that I have considered before purchasing a condo unit at Symphony Suites (http://www.symphonysuitessg.com)
