Former Celtic shares his rise, fall, rebirth at Westborough’s Tatnuck Bookseller

Chris Herren

Westborough – “I was dead for 30 seconds. That’s what the cop in Fall River told me.

“When the EMTs found me, there was a needle in my arm and a packet of heroin
in the front seat.”

Former Boston Celtic basketball player Chris Herren relates his harrowing tale of addiction and ultimately, salvation, in his new book, “Basketball Junkie.”

Herren will be coming to Tatnuck Bookseller (Westborough Shopping Center) Tuesday, May 1, from 5 to 6 p.m. to sign his memoir and discuss his experiences as a widely-acclaimed basketball star, his descent into drugs and how he regained his life.
