Westborough – It's time to get outside and head over to Minuteman Park for the annual Spring Festival Fishing Challenge sponsored by the Westborough Civic Club. The Fishing Challenge is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no cost for any of the participants to learn how to fish and join in the contest. Prizes will be awarded at various age levels along with a grand prize for the largest fish.
This is the sixth consecutive year the Civic Club has joined with the Westborough Rotary Club to welcome residents of all ages to learn more about fishing from the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife and other local fishermen. Fishing poles and equipment will be provided and bait will be available.
Food and beverages will be available, as well as Westborough Civic Club Fishing Challenge T-shirts for all participants.
