Marlborough – After many years of doing more than “his duty” in Marlborough by being involved in countless charities and fundraisers, community leader Bob Kays will be a recipient of this year's prestigious “Good Scout Award.” This is an honor bestowed every two years to two people – who are residents of, or who have a connection to Marlborough or Hudson – and “have demonstrated integrity and genuine concern for others in both their professional and personal lives.” According to literature from the Hudson Marlborough Good Scout Committee: “The recipients need not have been Scouts but must carry the “Spirit of Scouting” into their adult lives. They are people who have been unselfish in their service to others on an individual and community basis.”
The award will be presented at a celebration Tuesday, June 19.
