Kane wins decisive victory for re-election to Shrewsbury selectmen

Shrewsbury – James Kane has won his bid for re-election for the Board of Selectmen (BOS) in the May 1 Annual Town Election. Kane, who is the board’s current chair, received 2,491 votes or just over 72 percent. His challenger, former Selectman Benjamin Tartaglia, received 959 votes or almost 28 percent.  

Jason Palitsch, who ran unopposed for the School Committee, received 389 votes or 98.98 percent.

According to Town Clerk Sandy Wright, 3,517 voters, approximately 15.72 percent of the town’s registered voters, came out for the election.
