“Take It or Leave It Day” May 12 in Northborough

Northborough – For Northborough residents only, “Take It or Leave It Day” will be held Saturday, May 12, at the Northborough DPW Garage, 190 Main St. “Take it” from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and “leave it” from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Drop off your quality, reusable stuff and take home some new (to you) stuff!

Usable household goods will be accepted, as a cardboard and metal recycling. Unacceptable items include appliances, such as those containing Freon – refrigerators, dehumidifiers and air conditioners; large stuffed furniture; construction materials; hazardous waste, including paint and tires, computers, TVs, or anything that can's be tossed.

The annual event is sponsored by the Northborough Recycling Committee, Frankenstein's Metal Recycling, Habitat for Humanity, and New England Rain Barrel Company.
