Roy K. Millward, 89

Westborough – Roy K. Millward, 89, of Westborough, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare – Memorial Hospital in Worcester. He was the husband of Rita R. (Finnegan) Millward.

Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late William and Annie (Weblin) Millward and was educated in Auburn schools. During World War II, he served with the United States Navy.

Mr. Millward was employed as an assistant physical therapist at the VA Hospital’s in West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, and Worcester prior to his retirement.

He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, a member of the D.A.V. and AARP. He was an avid sports fan enjoying the Boston Bruins, Red Sox, and Celtics.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one niece, Cheryl Archembeault of Auburn. He was the brother of the late Richard S. Millward.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 19, at 10 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery of Worcester. A calling hour will be held Saturday, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., prior to the funeral Mass at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
