Northborough/Southborough – Middle school students from surrounding districts competed in the Central District Junior Jazz Festival at Trottier Middle School in Southborough May 16.

The jazz festival was sponsored by the Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education (MAJE), an organization “dedicated to promoting and providing jazz education throughout the state of Massachusetts.” The group hopes to provide festivals for students to learn more about jazz and to increase public awareness of the music. Medals are awarded to recognize student achievement.
