Gerald T. Magistri, 72

Hudson – Gerald T. Magistri, 72, of Hudson, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Marlborough. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sherry (Pacia) Magistri of Hudson.

Jerry was born in Springfield and raised in Agawam, son of the late Virginio and Joanna (Picchi) Magistri. He attended local schools and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Northeastern University. He had resided in Hudson since 1965 after moving from Roslindale, where he spent several years.

He was a longtime Operations Manager in the Electronics field until retiring in 1997.

Jerry enjoyed golfing in his spare time and was a member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks and member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his two children, Mary Welsh and her husband, Craig, and Gerald M. Magistri and his wife, Wendy, all of Connecticut. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Pierce and her husband, David, of California; his five loving grandchildren; and his niece and nephew.

Family and friends may attend a calling hour Wednesday, May 23, from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jerry may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
