ABA presents Skills Building and Local Sustainability topics June 5

Ashland – An Ashland Business Association (ABA) meeting is planned Tuesday, June 5, at 7 p.m., in the Ashland Library Community Room, 66 Front St. Early Networking is from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the ABA.

The program includes a skill-building presentation as Leslie Githens present “Tips and Tricks for Better Presentation Skills.” Githens has many years of speaking in public and as a participant with Toastmasters.

Also on the Tuesday night program is Leah Marshquist, founder of Grounds Around Town (GAT), a program where participating businesses and organizations put aside used coffee grounds and make them available to town residents for free. Residents use the coffee grounds for their vegetable and flower gardens, and businesses have opportunities to connect with the community while becoming more sustainable.

ABA meetings are free of charge, and open to all business owners, executives, and managers with a business, office or residence in Ashland. Businesses are encouraged to join the ABA in order to take full advantage of the programs and business opportunities.

For more information on the ABA or to join or renew a membership, visit www.AshlandFirst.com or email info@AshlandFirst.com.
