Plant sale introduces garden expo
Shrewsbury – Ashlea Mirsky shops for annuals with help from Lucy Pupo at the Shrewsbury Garden Club’s annual Spring Plant Sale, held May 19 at the Shrewsbury Senior Center parking lot. In addition to selling herbs, hanging baskets, perennials and cemetery baskets, this year’s event introduced a garden expo. Among the organizations represented were the Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project, Shrewsbury Fragrant Garden, Friends of Prospect Park and Shrewsbury Ad Hoc Recycling Committee. Proceeds from the plant sale go to the club’s scholarship fund and town beautification projects.
