Evelyn Johnson, 94

Southborough – Evelyn (Lange) Johnson, 94, a longtime resident of Southborough, died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Heritage of Framingham Assisted Living after a period of declining health. She was the loving wife of the late Norman Johnson, who passed away in 2000.

Mrs. Johnson was born and raised in Michigan. In the 1930s, she and her sister Barbara followed her brother Bob to Southborough, where he had a job on the Johnson Farm. Evelyn fell in love and married Norman Johnson. In 1941 they built their home, on Johnson Road in Southborough and she was a devoted homemaker.

Mrs. Johnson was sadly predeceased by her children, Larry Johnson and Carol Cooper.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Bruce Cooper of Pennsylvania; her daughter-in-law, Lynne Johnson of  W. Brookfield; a sister, Barbara Minnucci and her husband Thomas of Marlborough; five grandchildren, Cathryn Moyski and Cynthia Cooper, Brandon Johnson, Emily Zieman, and Natalie Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Morgan and McKenna Moyski and Wren and Kai Worobey; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn McKie and her husband William of Natick.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 14, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 15, at 11 a.m., at the Morris Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
