Paving the way

Shrewsbury – New England winters are particularly hard on local roadways, and complaints from drivers are a daily occurrence. In an effort to patch things up with motorists, Shrewsbury is preparing to pave or repair some 15 miles of the town’s roads.

According to highway officials, the projects will be covered by a variety of sources, the bulk of which will come from state funds, not local dollars. Depending on the area of town, roadwork will include resurfacing treatment, machine-laid pavement work and crack resealing.
