Northborough – The Northborough Garden Club announces that Sharada Vishwanath, a third-grader at the Zeh School, and Lily Rose Mikolajczak, a fourth-grade student at the Lincoln Street School are winners of the 2012 National Garden Club’s poetry contest.

The girls won first place at the state level for their grade. Sharada also received a certificate of commendation on the national level.

The National Garden Club’s Poetry Contest is open to students in kindergarten through ninth grade.

This competition enables students to embrace their creativity through the art of writing. All of the winning entries will be compiled into a booklet, which will be made available to the winners.

Information about the 2013 poetry contest will be available in the fall at www.northboroughgardenclub.com and through the Northborough schools.
