Ruth C. Parlante, 84
Ruth was born in Worcester, one of six children of Joseph and Anna (LaRange) Molinari. She was educated in Worcester, and met and married the love of her life and husband for over 54 years, Louis J. Parlante. Together they moved to Shrewsbury to raise their children and she has lived there ever since.
As her children were advancing in age, Ruth took a job as a cashier for the Spags Supply and worked for the company faithfully the next 30 years before retiring.
Ruth’s husband, Louis, passed away in August 2004. She is survived by her two children, Anne S. Butkiewicz and her husband, Edmund, of Rutland and David L. Parlante and his wife, Kathleen, of Sutton; three grandchildren who adored her, Marc, Nicholas and Ryan; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A brother, Wallace “Wally” Molinari, and four sisters, Josephine Molinari, Rose Montemurro, Grace Evangelista and Lena Triola, all predeceased her.
She was a member of St. Anne Church, and the Eastside Post 201, Women’s Auxiliary. All through her life, Ruth’s main interest was her family. She cherished her husband, children, grandchildren and siblings. She found more happiness being with family than doing anything else. She loved to travel and in her youth enjoyed bowling.
