Westborough – On July 14 Brian Carlson set out into the waters off the coast of Cape Cod to do some shark fishing with friends. Fifteen miles south of Nomans Land Island, they hooked a large thresher shark. After a two-hour fight, the shark was pulled aboard the 30-foot Seaswirl and brought ashore. Named the “filet mignon of the sea” the shark was filleted and vacuum packed into meal-sized steaks. Needless to say, it was a “reel” good day on the water.
