Lending a hand on 10th anniversary

Hudson – Pete Boule, a rising freshman at Hudson High School, performs a skateboard demonstration at the Summer Festival held July 28 at the Hudson Elks Pavilion. Festivities also included entertainment, refreshments, a car show, vendors and children’s amusements.

The first-time event was held in memory of Andrew Swenson, who died of bone marrow cancer at age 7 on the same date in 2002. Proceeds go to Andrew’s Helpful Hands, a nonprofit organization that helps families of children undergoing bone marrow treatment.
