Running for special needs program

Shrewsbury – Runners start the ninth annual Special 5K Road Race held July 28, beginning and ending at Floral Street Elementary School. Jon-Scott Lutke, of Shrewsbury (front, second from right), finished first overall in 17:18. The first-place female was Deb Barry, of Ashby, finishing in 20:38. About 130 runners participated in the 5K race and one-mile fun run. Proceeds go to the Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Department Special Needs Program.
