Local residents honored at Virginia Tech commencement

Region – The following local residents were among those honored at the Virginia Tech commencement ceremony held May 11 in Lane Stadium: Stephen Smith of Grafton; Meghann Burke of Northborough; Keisha Haskins of North Grafton; Kelly Makris of Westborough; Kathryn Priess of Marlborough; and Alexander Smith of Southborough.  

Founded in 1872, Virginia Tech attracts students from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. The university’s eight colleges achieve quality, innovation, and results through teaching, research, and outreach in Blacksburg and at other campus centers in Northern Virginia, Southwest Virginia, Richmond, Southern Virginia, Hampton Roads, and Roanoke.
