Westborough student honored at Providence College

Westborough – Resident Thomas McDonough, who was awarded a bachelor’s degree during Providence College commencement ceremonies, was recently honored for his academic achievements.

McDonough graduated summa cum laude and received the American Institute of Chemists Award for outstanding scholastic achievement in chemistry, leadership and character. He also earned the highest academic record in chemistry. He was a member of the liberal arts honors program.

McDonough will pursue a doctorate in physical chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
