Shrewsbury Historical Society announces scholarship recipients

Shrewsbury – As part of its outreach to the community, the Shrewsbury Historical Society recently presented two scholarships.

Sarah Kelland was the recipient of the Shrewsbury Historical Society Stephen Porter Scholarship. She will attend Bentley University.  Griffin Monahan was the recipient of the Shrewsbury Historical Society Jean McDonald Graham Scholarship. He will attend Boston University.

The Shrewsbury Historical Society was organized in 1898 and incorporated on June 23, 1902. As part of its mission statement, the purpose of the Society is to “keep alive and increase interest in the history of the town of Shrewsbury.”
