Venture Crew 21 to hold upcoming membership drive, open house in Hudson

Hudson – Venture Crew 21, a co-ed high adventure group for youths ages 14-21 years old, has announced a membership drive and open house Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Hudson Boys & Girls Club. Pictures and refreshments will be available.

Under the direction of Boy Scouts of America, Venturing provides the skills needed for young adults to make ethical choices, experience a fun program full of adventure and challenges, acquire leadership skills, and to take advantage of opportunities to advance their skills and knowledge in the areas of high adventure, sports, arts, hobbies, and religious life. Venture crew gives older youths an opportunity to challenge themselves both physically and mentally. Venture crew is 100 percent youth run and requires participation from all youth in planning and executing outdoor activities, community service and meetings. Past activities have included white water rafting, rock climbing, backpacking, and biking riding.

Venture Crew 21 meets once a week, on Tuesdays, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Hudson Boys & Girls Club, 21 Church St., and communicate regular via-email. Frequent attendance is not mandatory.
