Community leaders go to the highest bidder

Shrewsbury – Town Manager Daniel Morgado (left) and Michael Hale (right), general manager of Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations, work out in a group exercise class Aug. 16 at the Shrewsbury Health and Racquet Club (SHARC). Meanwhile, School Superintendent Dr. Joseph Sawyer was working on his tennis stroke with children at the club’s summer camp. Two hours of work by the three community leaders was a prize auctioned at the fourth annual Celebration Garden Party, a fundraiser held June 16 to support the Shrewsbury Public Schools. The highest bidder was Darline Yatim, SHARC owner.
