Dobsons celebrate 60th anniversary

Shrewsbury – Arthur and Dorothy Dobson, 57-year residents of Shrewsbury, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 3. They were high school sweethearts at Brookline High School (Class of 1950), and were married at St. Mary’s Church in Brookline. The Dobsons commemorated their anniversary with a celebration at a restaurant in Worcester.

Arthur started the Charlie Cheddar Co. in 1972, which was a longtime food supplier to Spag’s Supply, Inc. and Dorothy was a librarian in Shrewsbury for 21 years. The couple have three daughters, Deborah, Cheryl and Kathleen; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
