Elizabeth L. Vigneault, 96

Shrewsbury - Elizabeth L. Vigneault, 96, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 in Shrewsbury Nursing Home after an illness.

She was born, raised, and schooled in Milford, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Ernest and Emma (Bouvier) Vigneault. The Vigneault family moved to Worcester from New Hampshire in the early 1930s.

Elizabeth was a talented seamstress throughout her life; she worked for a manufacturer in the Worcester area. She was very family oriented and enjoyed traveling, watching dog racing and playing cards with friends.

Besides her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her siblings, Lorenzo Vigneault, Yvonne Either, and Marie Babin, and a nephew, Robert Babin. She is survived by two nieces, Jeanne Babin and Patricia Babin; a great-nephew, David; and Sr. Doris Babin of the Sisters of St. Anne.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 9:00 a.m., with a funeral Mass celebrating Elizabeth’s life at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery of Worcester.
