Southborough police log, Aug. 31 edition

Friday, Aug. 17

12:37 a.m. Arrested, Nicholas Sozio of Robin Wood Lane, Stow, for OUI alcohol and OUI drugs. He was also cited for operating a motor vehicle with defective equipment.

6:15 a.m. An officer responded to Marlboro Road for a report of a suspicious person sitting on the side of the road. The responding officer reported no findings in the area.

8:15 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious white van, parked at a residence on Ted Lane. The van was located, and it was determined the person was parked at the wrong job site.

4:25 p.m. A resident came into the station to report that he was being harassed at his business by two residents of Marlborough. Two “No Trespass” notices were issued to the Marlborough residents.

9:15 p.m. A resident of Worcester was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License and Defective Equipment.

11:05 p.m. Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Marlboro Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

Saturday, Aug. 18

2:10 a.m. Officers responded to Blackthorn Drive for a report of loud banging noises in the area. Responding officers reported a large tree had fallen down, close to the reporting party’s residence.

2:50 a.m. Arrested, Jamar Perry of Hartson Street, Syracuse, N.Y., for OUI alcohol, refusing to provide name; and marked lanes violations.

7:03 a.m. An officer on patrol checked on a suspicious vehicle leaving a Turnpike Road business. Everything checked out o.k. with the driver and the business.

1:43 p.m. A resident of Lyman Street reported that all four tires of their vehicle had been slashed. A report was filed on the incident, and the responding officer will be investigating the vandalism.

9:34 p.m. Officer on patrol reports a large sink hole in the cul-de-sac at the end of Lynbrook Road. DPW was notified.

10:13 p.m. Officers assisted a male party walking on Framingham Road, with a civilian transport to the MBTA Station on River Street.

10:24 p.m. Officer on patrol checked on a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a Turnpike Road business. Operator and vehicle checked out o.k.

Sunday, Aug. 19

12:57 a.m. Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a Turnpike Road business. The operator and passenger checked out o.k.

8:56 a.m. Officers responded to Ted Lane for a report of a suspicious motor vehicle in the area. The vehicle (described as a white panel van with a ladder on top) had left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.

10:45 a.m. An officer responded to a Turnpike Road business for a report of a male party, urinating in the parking lot of the business. The responding officer reported that there was nobody on scene, and no sign of urination in the area.

2:30 p.m. A Wyndemere Road resident reported a harassment complaint. The responding officer will be investigating the incident.

6:19 p.m. A medical was reported at a Woodland Road residence.

The information from the police log is obtained directly from the official records maintained at each police station in our circulation area. It contains arrests and samplings of police activity. Those arrested are innocent until proven guilty. The Community Advocate will publish news of acquittals upon notification and a copy of court-issued documentation.
