Round-Up meeting in Northborough for new Cub Scouts

Northborough – Rocket launches, the Pinewood Derby, hikes, fishing, camping and community service projects are all part of the adventures of Cub Scouts.

The annual town-wide Cub Scout roundup will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Melican Middle School cafeteria from 7 to 8 p.m.

Parents of boys in grades 1 through 5 are invited to this informational evening. Representatives from all Cub Scout packs in Northborough will be present to answer questions and to assist with the registration process.

Current Scouts do not need to attend this event; it is for all new incoming Scouts and their families.

The scouting program is family-oriented and boy/parent designed. Northborough has three packs, which are organized by elementary school districts.

If you cannot attend the round-up evening or have any additional questions, contact the appropriate Cubmaster listed below:

Boys who attend private schools can register with any of the packs. There is a $55 annual fee (scholarships are available). Additional information about Cub Scouting can also be found at the Knox Trail Council at http://www.KTC-BSA.org.
