Alexis Sophia Alves, 8 months old
Leicester - Alexis Sophia Alves, 8-month-old daughter of Timothy J. and Jessica E. (Barry) Alves, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Alexis was born Jan. 5, 2012 in Worcester.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Kayla Barry; two brothers, Sean Alves and Matthew Alves; her maternal grandfather, James Barry of Westborough; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Maureen Alves of Leicester; her maternal great grandparents, Thomas and Frances “Mickie” Barry of Westborough; her maternal great -great grandmother, Blanche Barry of Worcester and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Alexis was predeceased by her grandmother, Cheryl (Sealy) Barry.
The family would like to thank the staff on 5 East at UMass Hospital for their care and compassion.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Tuesday, September 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.
