Southborough issues public health notice

Southborough – In the wake of Northborough and Shrewsbury's notices to cancel outdoor evening activities due to West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis, Southborough has also released a public health notice:
The Town of Southborough has been determined to be at a High Risk of Mosquito-Borne Illness, including, EASTERN EQUINE ENCEPHALITIS (EEE). The Southborough Board of Health in conjunction with other Town Departments, Schools, and Public Safety has determined that to protect the PUBLIC HEALTH, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY ALL TOWN OWNED OUTDOOR PROPERTIES WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:00 PM AND 6:00 AM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.If you have to be outdoors anywhere in Southborough
during these hours, be sure to wear protective clothing
with long sleeves and use Repellant with DEET. Thank you.
