The C.A. six tips of the day for Sept. 13

Region – Today is Thursday, Sept. 13, the 257th day of 2012.
On this day in 1814, the words to one of the most beloved and difficult to perform pieces of music was written, – “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Francis Scott Key wrote the poem, which was later set to music, after witnessing the bombing of Fort McHenry in Maryland during the war of 1812.
On this day in 1953, IBM introduced the first computer disk storage unit, the RAMAC 305.
And on this day in 1990 one of the most popular and long running series on television premiered, Law and Order.
