Scenes from Applefest 2012

Northborough – Hundreds of residents and people from surrounding towns came to Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) today to enjoy the annual Applefest Street Fair. Other activities at the site such as the popular Applefest Cafe and Northborough Free Library Book Sale were also a big hit with the crowds.

The fair is normally held in the downtown area but because of the ongoing traffic project, was moved to ARHS this year. Although residents were disappointed that the BBQ and Fireworks scheduled for the nighttime had been  cancelled due to the threat of mosquitoes carrying Eastern Equine Encephalitis and/or the West Nile Virus, everyone was clearly having a great time during the day.

The Community Advocate had a special reporter on the scene to capture the day’s action.
