Shirley M. Rocheleau, 77

Hudson – Shirley M. (Alzapiedi) Rocheleau, 77, of Hudson, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at Wingate at Sudbury, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Harold Rocheleau, who died in 2006.

Shirley was born in Marlborough and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Angelo and Lillian (Welch) Alzapiedi. She was a lifelong resident of Hudson, where she attended local schools and was a 1953 graduate of Hudson High School.

Shirley spent many years as a waitress at the 99 Restaurant in Sudbury until her retirement. She enjoyed spending her winter months at her residence in Florida.

She is survived by her children, David J. Rocheleau and his wife Elizabeth of Boxborough, Joseph A. Rocheleau of Natick, and Diane Ghize and her husband David of Hudson. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Michael Rocheleau, Ryann, Danielle and Katie Rocheleau and their mother Rhonda Rocheleau; Kyle, Mackenzie and Julia Rocheleau and their mother Stephanie Scholl; and Wyatt and Morghan Ghize, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Alzapiedi of Sudbury and Mary Alzapiedi of Marlborough.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 17 in Saint Michael’s Church of Hudson. Burial services will be held at a later date in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. The Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson assisted with arrangements.
