Susanne Beyersdorfer, 66

Marlborough - Susanne (Connelly) Beyersdorfer, 66, died early Sunday morning, Sept 16, 2012, after a short period of failing health.

She was born in New York City, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Alexandra (Olsen) Connelly, and spent her early years living in Atlantic City, NJ, and graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1963.

Susanne was a personal banker for Bank of America in the Marlborough and Worcester areas for many years. She developed a great love of music at a young age and went on to sing with both the Assabet Valley Master Singers and the choir at the First Congregational Church of Marlborough. She was also an avid gardener and was a past president and member of the Pinefield Garden Club in Framingham. Above all else was her love for her family and friends.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Ken Arslen of West Brookfield; four children, Audrey Beyersdorfer (and husband Arthur Smith) of Sterling, Laurie Jackson (and husband Lloyd) of Shrewsbury, Len Beyersdorfer (and companion Sussie Figueroa) of Lynn, and Georgia Beyersdorfer (and fiancé Tim Mudarri) of Boston, and six grandchildren, Adam, Benjamin, Amber, Grace, Hunter and Summer. She is also survived by brother David Connelly of NJ and sister Joan Sandra Rowden of NJ.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 10:00 a.m., at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough. Burial will be in the Atlantic City, NJ area in the near future. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held on Tuesday evening, Sept. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m.
