Michael Clements, of Marlborough, runs in the rain and finishes the Main Street Mile first overall in 4:48. Alissa Nelson, of Franklin, was the first-place female finishing in 5:09. Ninety-eight runners ages 6 to 64 completed the one-mile race, which is organized by the Highland City Striders.
Members of the Velvet Moon Gypsies perform for festival-goers. Entertainment also included the Country Kickers, two bands, and a martial arts demonstration.
Tasting chili samples is the panel of judges: (l to r) Kaitlyn Buchanan, Mark Vital and Robin Samora. Other judges sampled the chowder.
