J. Edward GillBridgewater – J. Edward Gill, 45, Ted Gill, died suddenly in his sleep on October 19, one day short of his 46th birthday.

Ted was a man for all seasons, inquisitive and well informed. He gave heartfelt family advice, loved history, held strong political views that he could discuss with calm civility. He knew movies old and new, especially foreign (French and Japanese). He would explore and master whatever new interest he would pursue.

He was the best gift giver. Not always expensive but carefully researched – just perfect.

He was the Gill family go to guy for so many topics: the best local craft beers; current events; the latest in technology; the best in the movies, TV, books and theater. He was quiet and gentle except during Patriots games. He traveled the world and when in France was the tour guide and translator – he introduced us all to Huitrerie Regis Paris. Ted loved running the beaches of Quincy and Cape Cod and all of nature.

He attended K through 9 schools in Southboro, MA and St Mark’s School in Southboro. He was a 1998 graduate of The University of Pennsylvania enjoying the rich curriculum of Penn’s arts offerings but majoring in economics which was the foundation of his career in finance.

He was most recently employed as a financial analyst by Dassault Systemes located in Johnston, RI. Prior to that he held finance positions at Data General and Liberty Mutual.

He was predeceased by his sister Catherine Gill. He leaves his parents Joseph and Nancy of West Barnstable, MA; brother Conan of Dover, NH; brother Geoffrey and his wife Mary of Lawrenceville, GA; sister Suzanne Chiarito of Arlington, MA; and nieces Sarah Gill, Meghan Chiarito, Josephine Gill, and Nina Gill.

We are forever grateful for the joy and love he brought into our lives.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 30 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main St. Centerville MA 02632. All are invited to a reception which will be held following the mass. Burial will be private.
