Shrewsbury boys’ soccer falls to Wachusett

Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury High School (SHS) boys’ soccer hosted Wachusett Regional High School (WRHS) Oct.  4 for a Midland A league matchup.  WRHS scored first only three minutes into the game, and added a second tally with 14 minutes remaining in the first half.  SHS’s Alex Haji scored within the two minute mark for a 2-1 WRHS lead at the half.

In the second half, SHS applied scoring pressure numerous times but was unable to score as  WRHS hung on for the 2-1 win. SHS fell to 1-3 league, while WRHS climbed to 2-2-1 league. (Photos/Chris Wraight)
