Missing Northborough hiker has been found safe

Northborough – The Mass. State Police have issued this statement this morning:

 This morning at approximately 6:50 a.m., KYLE PEMBER was located on the New York side of Mt Washington by searchers from the Columbia County, NY Sheriff’s Department.  Mr. PEMBER was transported to Columbia County Hospital for treatment of possible mild hypothermia.

The agencies involved in this successful rescue include; the Massachusetts State Police, the New York State Police, Columbia County, NY Sheriff’s Deputies, Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), the Massachusetts Environmental Police, and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).

All additional case specific inquiries should be directed to the Columbia County, NY Sheriff’s Department.
