Music Worcester announces National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba performance

Worcester – Music Worcester will present the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba (NSOC) Wednesday, Oct. 24 performance in Mechanics Hall at 8 p.m. The NSOC will be featuring pianist Nachito Herrera, who now lives in the U.S. and is best known for his jazz piano, but started as a child prodigy in classical piano in Cuba.

Gershwin’s Cuban Overture & Rhapsody in Blue are on the program, as well as iconic composer Lecuona’s La Comparsa and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
