Southborough Library hosts INSIDE Story speaker series Nov. 8

Southborough – The Southborough Business Network (SBN) continues its INSIDE Story speaker series Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Southborough Library, 25 Main St. Julien Mininberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kaz, Inc., will present “Building a $700M Global Business with World-class Brands in Southborough.”

Kaz, Inc., founded in 1926, is a global leader in consumer medical devices, water purification and home appliances sold in over 60 countries under popular brand names such as Vicks, Braun, PUR, Febreze and Honeywell. Kaz is a division of Helen of Troy Limited.

Mininberg will speak about how his company's commitment to innovation and improving people's lives with everyday products has led to recognition as a world leader in the markets it serves.

Prior to joining Kaz, Mininberg spent 15 years with Procter & Gamble (P&G), the world leader in consumer packaged goods, and a Fortune 500 multinational corporation. His most recent role at P&G was General Manager for Central America. Half of his P& G career was in Latin America, while the other half was in the United States.

Throughout his years at P&G, Mininberg earned numerous awards for his work in organizational development, marketing and advertising. He has led seminars on marketing, manufacturing and gender diversity within P&G and at various universities, including Yale and Brandeis.

He has served as Vice Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors in Guatemala. He has been an advisor to Guatemala's Minister of Education regarding literacy, as well as advisor to a delegation from the U.S. Senate and Commerce Secretary for the 2005 CAFTA treaty. He is a graduate of Yale College and Yale School of Management, where he serves on the Board of Advisors and is President of its Alumni Association.

Southborough Library's Southborough Business Network connects the library with the Southborough business community with an informative and engaging quarterly speaker series that features business leaders with a connection to Southborough.
