Boroughs YMCA marks 10 years with first 5K

Westborough – Over 130 participants, some in costume, start the first Spooktacular 5K Run/Walk held Oct. 20, beginning and ending at the Boroughs Family Branch YMCA. Chris Benestad, of Northborough, finished first overall in 17:09. The first-place female was Yulia Issa, of Uxbridge, finishing in 23:33. Proceeds go to the YMCA Annual Fund Campaign. Avidia Bank was the major corporate sponsor of the race, which was the first of a full day of activities for all ages to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Boroughs Family Branch YMCA.
