Victor M. Mercado, 42

Marlborough – Victor M. Mercado, 42, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Oct. 22, 2012 after being stricken ill at his home.

He was born in Marlborough, the son of Zoila (Lozoya) Mercado and the late Manuel Mercado, who died in 2010. He lived in Marlborough all of his life.

Mr. Mercado was employed as a delivery man for the former Mohawk Trail Spring Water and other spring water companies.

Besides his mother, he is survived by one sister; Judith Caron of Dudley; one brother; Leonardo Mercado of Willington, Conn.; four nieces and nephews; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 26, at 9:00 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery of Marlborough. Visiting hours at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com) will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m.
