Southborough police investigate early morning stabbing

Southborough – The Southborough Police Department has released a press statement about an early morning incident that has resulted in stabbing injuries to two men:

On 10/28/12 at approx. 0023 hrs, Southborough police officers responded to a home on Constitution Drive, for a report of a fight in progress that possibly involved a knife.  Responding officers, with the assistance of officers from Hopkinton Police and Ashland Police, were able to locate the parties involved in the altercation.

Two male victims were found to be suffering from several stab wounds, and both were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Seventeen-year-old James E. McCarthy of Birmingham Road, Worcester, MA, was arrested and charged with two counts of A & B Dangerous Weapon and one count of Mayhem.

Southborough Police and investigators from the Massachusetts State Police Crime scene unit are currently investigating the incident. Anyone with further information about this incident is encouraged to contact Det. Sean McCarthy at (508) 485-2121.
