Scouting for Food in Southborough

Southborough – Nov. 3 marked the beginning of Southborough’s Annual Scouting for Food drive. Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts all over town will be hanging bags on mailboxes to collect donations to benefit the Southborough Food Pantry. This is the largest food drive of the entire year for the Southborough Food Pantry and is essential for keeping the shelves stocked through the winter and beyond. Last year over 10,000 pounds of food was donated, and the goal for this year is 12,000 pounds or more.

Making a donation is simple.  Just fill the bag (or more) with contributions of food, along with personal care and paper products. Leave any filled bags or boxes next to your mailbox by 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, when Scouts will pick up your donation. Be sure to check expiration dates on food items, as the food pantry cannot distribute expired food.

The Southborough Food Pantry and the Scouts thank residents for their support.
