Funding opportunity for Melican

Dear Parents, Friends, Colleagues:

Happy November! I am writing to ask for your help with an unusual funding opportunity for Melican. In our quest to seek out financial support we’ve submitted a grant proposal for an iPad Lab through the Clorox Education Grant Program: Power a Bright Future. A $50,000 grant will be awarded to the proposal receiving the most online votes, and additional $25,000 grants will be given to other popular proposals. Votes can be registered from different computers every day from November 5 through December 12, 2012. We need as much support as we can get with this; it’s as simple as voting for our grant through the Clorox website. Please spread the word to friends and coworkers using any networking that makes sense for you. This is a situation where voting “early and often” is actually possible!

You can read about and vote for our grant: Help Melican Middle School “Go Green” with an iPad Lab, using this link: https://powerabrightfuture.clorox.com/nominees/detail/?nid=2538.

Winning this grant may be a long shot, but the possibility of supplementing our one iPad lab with $50,000 was an opportunity we just couldn’t pass up.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Pat Montimurro

Principal
