Three Marlborough men arrested for Shrewsbury armed burglary
On November 10th, 2012 at 12:24 A.M. Shrewsbury Police were dispatched to 1 Rice Avenue for an attempted B&E in progress. The caller stated 3 males were trying to force their way into the front door of his home. While en route to the call Shrewsbury officers were advised the suspects had fled in a vehicle towards Rt. 70. A description of the vehicle was given out and a short time later the Boylston Police stopped the suspect’s vehicle on Rt. 140 in Boylston.
Shrewsbury officers arrived at 1 Rice Avenue and observed damage to the house and the door. Officers were also advised by the victim that one of the suspects had threatened to kill him while they were forcing their way into the house. Also the victim alleged that the suspects were there to collect $2,000 dollars. Ultimately the suspects fled the scene. The victim told police he was familiar with one of the suspects.
Shrewsbury Police then transported the victim to the suspect’s motor vehicle which was stopped by Boylston Police. The victim ID’d all three suspects as the assailants and they were arrested. The suspects were transported to the Shrewsbury Police Department and charged.
1.) James Campbell, 12 Red Spring Rd., Marlborough, Ma.- 20 years old.
2.) Joseph Campbell, 12 Red Spring Rd., Marlborough, Ma. -17 years old.
3.) Robert Hitrik, 386 Simpson Rd., Marlborough, Ma. – 24 years old.
All three suspects were charged with:
1.) Defacing/Damaging Property
2.) Burglary, Armed
4.) Threat to Commit a Crime.
All three were arraigned at Westboro District on November 13th, 2012. Officer Nicholas Perna and Officer Chad Chysna are the arresting Officer’s for the Shrewsbury Police.
